Donn Kean has been a fiction and non-fiction author, poet, and featured columnist since 1975. Short story publication has been mostly in the horror genre, in such magazines as "Horror Show", "New Blood", "2AM", "Cemetery Dance" and other "small-press" magazines dedicated to that area of fiction. Columns (humor and human interest) have included "Kean Observation" and "Thoughts From A Park Bench", for "The Golden Transcript" (Golden, Colorado), "Humor Magazine" (Washington, D.C.), and "The S.F. Chronicle", respectively. Mr. Kean also developed the company "Ghost Writer", in the 1980's, and located in San Francisco, which catered to contract authors who needed assistance with magazine articles and books in the works.
Mr. Kean has also worked as a research assistant to several authors, including John Kobler on his biography of "Stravinsky", the life and illicit loves of Igor Stravinsky. This research included interviews with Christopher Isherwood, Jule Stein, and others associated with Igor Stravinsky.
Aside from general writing, Mr. Kean also produces, writes, and directs television commercial projects and talk show formats for cable networks. Mr. Kean has worked for Fox Television, KCAL9, and Pax T.V. in Los Angeles, and Pax TV in Connecticut, as well as Fox-Connecticut, and WB Connecticut. Presently, he is working on "A Whisper of Stones" with co- author and co-photographer Eric Bemont, a series of four books set to be published in late spring/early summer of 2009. Mr. Kean is also completing a novel "Mercy", which will be published in Autumn of 2010, once again returning to the dark fiction genre. Also, due for publication in September is Mr. Kean's book:

Mr. Kean's earlier career was as a "featured" columist for small town newspapers, and as a poet for various anthologies and magazines throughout the United States and Europe.
