At 10, I wrote my first novel, Alfred Hitchcock and The Three Investigators:
Mystery of The Eerie Elephant. Five years later I followed this with The Underdog, a
post-Watchmen grid-controlled blast em off. Several other unwritten graphic novel
and comic scripts followed before a respite from writing.
During this time, I became a bum like Dylan (or Joyce), before spending a decade
aboard the Starship USS Enterprise (the real one), were I substituted for
Commander Will Riker who was at the time in a mentalist's chair. Towards the end
of this time, I wrote, drew and self-published two comics series, Bob's, and Andrew
Luke's Comic Book.
More recently I've produced a few well-loved humour titles: Optimus and Me, and
the notorious Hold the Phones, It's Alex Jones!. I've also produced the critically
acclaimed personal narratives, Gran, and Absence: a comic about epilepsy, the
latter winning an UnLtd Award.
Semi-retired from the comics field, last year's 'Twelve' marks a return to prose.
