John has written for The Age, The
Australian, Metro film magazine and the Brisbane Organic Growers newsletter.
He has had a chapter about surfies and hippies in Byron Bay in the 1960s and
early 1970s published in a book called New Voices, New Visions (pp 50-65, Elder
and Moore 2012).
His short story, Nutfield 3099, is included in the RMIT publication Visible Ink: The
Words have Eyes (1998)
He has written and directed one short film called Agent Juanito and written two
feature film scripts: Roast Duck and The Zen Cleaning Robot.
His main written work is: The Adventures of Kosio and Juanito, a tale of fishing,
love and life set between Melbourne and Byron Bay which he is looking to have
published. He has been working on this book since 1999, but doesn't think you
should rush these things.
He has been working on a spy novel called the Zen Cleaning Robot, set in Byron
Bay, which is a reworking of his earlier film script with the same title.

Interests: History, fishing, Swiss and Bulgarian people, and growing organic fruit and vegetables.
