David Bareford

Chicago, Illinois, United States

I am a professional violence designer, primarily involved in theatrical productions in the
Chicago area, but my work also includes teaching stage combat at Lewis University,
The Fight Shop Studio, and various workshops around the area. When the occasion
arises, I do utility stunts (mostly high falls and body burns) for film projects and live

My writing background tends mostly toward the dramatic, and I have had the good fortune
to have five of my works receive full production. My first screenplay is currently under
review by a few agents, and a fourth play is in development. I also hack out the odd
article for a few random ezines.

Interests: Plays, stage combat, stunts, backpacking, and dogsledding
