Overview:
Popular Ink is a high-concept publishing and accessories company that began with a collective of writers and artists interested in linking popular fashion and culture to new American literature. The founders of Popular Ink, have created a new publishing approach and online community to share writing and spark an interest in reading by pairing books with items that normally wouldn’t be paired with books. Inspired by the wildly popular Penny Press, our debut line, features pocket-sized, perfect-bound books of poetry or stories. Each book comes with a matching t-shirt that sports one of the volume’s attention-getting quotes. Popular Ink also sponsors the interactive, populist writing and art blogazine, The Indelible Kitchen. Each week, The Indelible Kitchen features new writing, art and more. This lightly juried blogazine is a unique place to post new writing and art — with the opportunity to become a permanent contributor.
