Overview:
Emerald Falcon Press was created with the author in mind. Dave Barlow, one of the owners, wrote a novel about 7 years ago. With all the efforts to find a publisher he was told the same thing over and over again; “Well written with a good story but we don’t take a risk on first time authors.” How does one ever become an author if no one gives you a chance? This question was answered by himself and Kim Dorlac who believed in his goal, which was to publish his own works. They put up as much of their own funds as they could gather and started the company. “Well I have been a paramedic for 11 years running and I love to help people. I save lives, sometimes at great risk to my own so naturally the first time author is a risk I am willing to take. There are many talented writers out there who just need someone to believe in them, well that some one is Emerald Falcon Press.” (quote Dave Barlow) Emerald Falcon Press believes that the author has put his or her heart and soul into their work and should have a major say as to how it is published. I believe this wholeheartedly and treat each of my authors with the respect that their time and effort demands, after all it was their sacrifice that finished their books who are we to take that from them. “We have many authors who rave over our personal attention and care for their desires, wishes and goals. Soon this type of approach will bring us more authors, new and well established then we can handle and the company will need to grow. We will set a precedent within this type of business for we not only are building dreams but we are making friends.” (quote Dave Barlow) Emerald Falcon Press publish health related non-fiction, sci-fi, thrillers, fiction, children’s books, educational learning aids, coloring books, role playing aids, bookmarks, and posters. We even have a goal of opening either a franchise or our own book store in a prime location. We strive to bring the literary field to our youth by promoting that they to can achieve. Many schools hammer that into them but Emerald Falcon Press can prove it.
