Books 3, Agents 0
So far, I'm pitching a shutout. My team has scored three books - two nonfiction, one fiction - at least in my dreams. Yet no agents have crossed home plate.
My queries have attracted requests for proposals and for sample chapters from four agents. One rejected the proposal, and three are still in the game.
My nerves are frazzled from waiting - as long as six months in one case in which an agent has remained in contact. I've been told I have a very strong nonfiction proposal. Still, is it normal to go into extra innings?

You sound like a moron with the baseball analogies. FYI.

Strike three, you're out, according to Leah. Sounds like she's having a bad day.

The baseball analogy amused me... :/ Maybe you should lighten up a tad?
Anyway, all I can really say is be patient. Send your queries to more agents while you wait. Keep yourself busy, try not to think about it too much or it'll drive you crazy, and it will be that much harder to receive a rejection, if in the end, the agent/s decide to pass.

Ouch, Leah beaned me. You're outta the game!
Thanks for the support, guys. I think I'll work
in the garden.
