Back in the day, when George Scithers was editing Isaac Asimov's SF Magazine, he used to send a load of circulars and pamphlets with the basic form rejection slip. Stuff on writing basics and what-not. This annoyed me because I was a member of SFWA and had a little experience. Oh well! I suppose there must have ben someone who didn't throw the things away. George, if you're reading this, "value-added" rejections weren't cool. Sorry!
