The writer.net agent listing is not a good source for finding agents. Agents put up their own info - there's no vetting and a lot of scammers post.

<agentquery.com/> and <everyonewhosanyeone.com/> are good places to find lists of agents.

Writer Beware< www.sfwa.org/beware/> and Preditors and Editors <www.anotherealm.com/prededitors/> are good places to vet agents.

I recommend purchasing a copy of Jeff Herman's 2006 Guide to Publishers, Literary Agents, etc. This is what I'm using in my search, and it's been very helpful -- it only includes reputable information, and provides more personalized information about each agent than other sources.

Nils: I'm sorry, but Jeff Herman's guide lists agents like Cris Robins and Charlotte Gusay. It's a good source, but you have to check his listings out with P & E.
