You may have already checked P&E, but nothing bad about them there. Sorry, can't help more than that.

Re: "artists and artisans, inc." ?
I heard of them, Adam Chromy is the agent I believe. But, I don't think he's right in the headlines of being a top agent.

Re: "artists and artisans, inc." ?
In the past month or so, I've seen Adam Chromy's name come up several times in the weekly deals roundup from Publisher's Marketplace. Don't know any more than that, but it seems that he's getting a foot in the door and any agent that's currently making sales can't be all bad.

Re: "artists and artisans, inc." ?
A & A gave me a very detailed response to the first three chapters of my novel (which they requested after my query.)
Very useful, positive feedback. They called it 'definitely publishable,'...just not by them...
Hope that helps.
Good luck.

They requested a partial, then the full ms. Rejected with suggestions, and a request to read it again if I make changes.
I would have felt lucky if they had offered to rep me.

Re: "artists and artisans, inc." ?
Chromy works hard, definitely a lean towards chick lit and gay lit, that metro thing was his, the other about the gay trucker, some real solid, big sale teen girl stuff, & his clients say he's a machine when it comes to submissions.
