Best way to kill log in

Sorry to be off topic but I cannot find info on how to "log out" so as to read my messages like everyone else does. Hitting "log out" only works until I go back into the discussion rooms.

Can anyone offer help?

I believe I might have had the same problem, or at least similar. I had to delete a bunch of cookies of something. Sheesh don't I sound shmart today! LoL. Unfortunately, I can't remember precisely what it is that I did! :-( but there is someone here at WN who knows all about these things. I think its Bill Cameron, but I could be wrong.
