How many words?

How long is the average novel or compilation today? How much is not enough? (Words and pages)

People deal in words, Rusty. Not everyone agrees on the length, but in general, a novel must be at least 60,000 words. Some publishers want more. Thrillers, for instance, generally come in at 100,000 words.

Again, don't worry about page count. If you use a word processor, it will tell you how many words your novel has. Since your manuscript for either fiction or non-fiction must be double-spaced, the page count of the manuscript is irrelevant.
