An update, if you're interested
I took everyone's advice and emailed that editor back. (Since she had emailed me first.) She said (via another email), "Great!" to me saying I'm interested in writing a proposal for her. As promised, she sent me a couple of books in the series to review along with some ideas/press releases. She even sent them FedEx! (I felt like screaming, "I'm "FedEx" worthy!" LOL)It's so nice to see there is such a creature as an on-top-of-things editor. Now all I have to do is write a knock-out proposal! I'm bouncing back and forth between terror and giddy excitement. Wish me luck.

This is great, Carmela. Obviously she's REALLY interested! I wasn't in on the early developments, but I can't wait to hear what happens next for you. I just LOVE good news!

Re: An update, if you're interested
Of course I'm interested and excited for you. Must seem like the sky is just a little bit bluer and the sun shining a tad brighter.
Keep the enthusiasm and the excitement -- it will show in your work.

Carmella,
If you get two of these, my computer acted up--don't know if the first posted. Good luck with the proposal. Knock the editor out of her chair.

Re: Congratulations
Hey, Carmella.......show us how to do it, lady! Hoping you can avoid terror and revel in giddy. The latter is so much more fun.
Best wishes for an absolute success........Roy

Re: Congratulations
Now that you have both feet on the floor and both hands on the keyboard, I add my best wishes for your success with the proposal. I have no doubt you'll impress them.
Congratulations again on your article in the February issue of Parenting. I finally read it and found it to be the perfect example of tight writing, filled with encouraging detail. I was especially impressed with your offering The Kid Test for parents who may not consider that, indeed, their child has a position in the subject.
Your quote from the director of the preschool in Worthington, Ohio quickly caught my eye as I have a good friend in Worthington and visit her from time to time.
Keep up the good work!

Wow, everyone should be so lucky as to be FedEx worthy. Congrats!
