There is a game outlined in the book, Games People Play (a book worth a read for its value in building characters) in which the one initiating the game poses a problem to a group, one that would seem to have a straightforward solution. Then, as people make suggestions, there's always some reason presented as to why it won't work. So the purpose of the game is, "Bet you can't come up with something I can't shoot down." Look at the poster's threads and you see it in action.
