    Wink ***Many Will Criticize***

I know from first-hand experience that there are many people in this world who will be very critical of something they know little to nothing about.

Case in point, there have been many people who know very little about what makes a book good & there are also people who may know about good books but they feel threatened when a person comes along with a very unique book and these people have been downright rude when I present them with my new novel.

I'm not talking about anyone here but there have been instances where people have told me my writing is bad when I know it's not and there have even been people who tried to say that I need an editor.

    Like, as if...!

No seriously, I will not change anything about my book because I have it just the way I want it but most people wouldn't understand why I've done things the way I have until they're able to read it all the way through.

I didn't join this community to get advice about a book that is already past completion. I joined so I might offer people to read the best book ever written and so I can learn what those people think of the piece.

Call me arrogant all you want but you could never call me unsure or uncertain...!

I rarely reply to posts, but I just can't help myself. I cannot figure out whether you're actually sincere, or trolling.

So you have written the best book known to mankind. I assume that your words shine like pearls in a diamond necklace, blinding the reader in such a way that (s)he is forced to close the eyes for a few minutes. During these few minutes, heaven is experienced while absorbing your carefully crafted words. I got this. You're an expert writer. Nobody on this community can teach you anything that you don't already know. You simply joined to disperse your bliss among mere mortals. My soul overflows with gratitude to you for letting me sip the nectar of your words. My life will never be the same again.

Seriously, this is a writing forum where writers and aspiring writers share their experiences and help one another improve. As writers, we all have room for improvement. Once you feel that you're the best, you close the door through which knowledge comes in. That door no longer seems ajar on your end, it is locked with a padlock.

If you wish to advertise your book, you can contact your publisher. Most publishers offer advertising packages. They are not free, however.
This forum is not here to advertise your book, it is here to share, care, teach, and learn.
You are more than welcome to join in the conversations, but if you don't feel that you can learn or improve, then this forum might not be the right place for you.

Looks like you barely beat me to this. I was going to see how long it took for the battle hardened members here to run this guy off, but after reading this post it is indeed almost starting to sound like trolling.

I really can't put it any better than what the cg admin just did, Michael, but if your attitude is going to continue being an arrogant one that is completely determined to prove everyone on here wrong about you, then things are going to get old quickly. Learn to be at least a somewhat peaceful and less argumentative person on here or go somewhere else. You've stated that you know how to be humble when the time calls for it. The time calls for it.

***he reads your reply cg admin with an incredibly huge grin***

Seriously though, it sounds as if you are a very wise man and I feel quite honored that you would take the time to say all that even though you basically said, "shape up or ship out".

I was counting on this reaction from all or most of you because that's basically what I had to do when I was recovering from my first severe auto accident at 17 in 1994.

Prior to my accident, I was a very popular athlete who played football, baseball & basketball while I also ran track & wrestled but I was very humble in nearly every situation as well so after remaining in a coma for 40 days and then staying in 3 different hospitals for 13 months, I came back to a world where no one had any respect for me like they had before.

Well that just wouldn't do for me so I had to make a few changes. I couldn't be humble anymore and expect anyone to think of me as an honorable person. Whenever I was, people saw me as a desperate cripple.

So I was very strong & arrogant but only with the people who didn't know me from before. When I did that, the people who didn't know me would wonder what I knew or what I had that enabled me to be that way while those who knew me before my accident thought, "Awww yeah, he's back".

My friends started calling me all the time to see if i wanted to go out and my life turned around because I started earning the respect of people who didn't know me like I once had prior to my first accident.

    ---------------------------------------------

Skip forward to the present and none of you knew me from before just a few days ago. So I had to behave in a totally obnoxious way so as to get most of you nearly hating me before I could show you how friendly & upstanding I can be.

Hate is the strongest emotion any person can feel, hands down...!

There are many things about my book that are not mainstream and I'm sure many of you have questions about why I do them. I hope that after you read this post that I've earned a place in your heart and you will ask me about each difference you see.

I'll do my best to explain them without feeling like I need to rewrite my whole book in this forum but obviously, you'll learn about each of them when you read the book.

In response to your comment Wickett, I was waiting to see how long it took for the "battle hardened members" like cg admin to come out and run me off too. Although, I hope everyone can tell that I am not here to troll at all and I plan to show that in my future posts.

If any of you really knew me --- which is something that may happen over the coming weeks, months or even years, you would understand why I have to be somewhat different than most. Basically, it's because I have lived a different life than most and I'm not just talking about the fact that my heart stopped 3 times after my first accident and the second shattered both of my legs from the knees down.

Now that I've made such an outstanding entrance, let me introduce myself once again.

Hello, my name is Michael and I'm a published author who has been a woman's escort since I was 16 in 1993.

If anyone would like to know how I've been able to write such a big book that's been edited over & over again and then have it published by a professional publisher with no budget at all or without spending any money, you can surely ask me directly on here.

I am now a 38 year old man from the East Coast of America but because of the business I've owned & operated since 2002, I travel all around the world to be with my clients.

    Responses are welcome by anyone...!

I will give you this. You intrigue me.

You talk about being humble and arrogant in the same sentence.

You're like almost arrogant about how humble you are... Does that make sense?

    You're like one big Oxymoron.

I believe the kids call it a "humblebrag."

    No it isn't. Love is.

Hate, for the most part, is a weak and pathetic emotion that drives people to do weak and pathetic things.

Disagree. Love can also make you weak and pathetic, and make you do weak and pathetic things.

    But back to Mikey.
