I think what Mutt means to say here is that if your story is currently a hodge-podge, to use your own words, it's far too soon to be worrying about your query. Finish your story and make it good, then look for an agent.

Yeah, if your book is crap it's just a waste of your time and the agent's time to send out queries. Agents get hundreds of crappy queries a day, which is why they have to send form letters or just ignore people. Stop making writers look bad by querying before your book is ready!

Every three months, Kessar woke up with body parts around her and bathed in blood. She needed to control her demonic nature before she murders everyone who crosses her path.

Kessar managed her darker side with ease when she lived in Hell. The screams and the darkness soothed the demonic voices in her head. However, as she created the first Grim Reaper, she learned about her angelic side coursing through her veins. When Demons find Angels living in Hell, they are killed on the spot. Kessar escapes to Earth, fleeing for her life,.

Not aware of her dark side in Hell, she woke up surrounded with a pack of dead cavemen, covered in blood. Every three months, she fell asleep and woke up surrounded by body parts. She needed to control herself before everyone died by her hand.

Kessar decides to submit to the evil through applying her skills from Hell on Earth. She found a king and convinced him to let her torture for him. He accepts and dubs Kessar as the first executioner. It helped, for the most part. Like all good things, the Executioner days died out, leaving Kessar without a way to release her inner demon.

Kessar needed a change of scenery, to escape the familiar lands of Europe. She boards a ship destined for the Americas. Three months after landing on shore, the colony she lived in all died by her hand. A savage hid behind the trees and witnessed the destruction. He decided to bring Kessar to his tribe, believing they could save her. The Indians taught Kessar how to suppress her demonic nature using meditation techniques.

If only suppressing herself was enough.

THE DARK SYNDICATE is a 65,000 word fantasy novel with series potential.
