    Commas again and this time periods too!

    blah, blah, blah, where our son, Joe, Jr., had grown up.

    Is that the way it's done?

    There should be no comma between Joe and Jr. "Joe Jr." is the young man's name.

    What Gil said... and yes, there is a period (or full stop where I am from ) after Jr. because it denotes an abbreviation. Although I think the fashion now is to miss them out, but if trends buck, just buck right back!

    BTW, why is "abbreviation" such a long word?!?!
