    When Merkabas Collide

I remember the moment you looked up at me
    with that arrogant sneer -
    We recognized each other immediately.
In your eyes I saw every heart Id ever broken,
Creativity in dire need of inspiration,
and a lovely, lonely genius grasping at straws.

    Your beautiful mask weakened me
and I struck back, invoked your wrath
A fatal mistake - too late, too late
For a foundation laid with powerful passion
    will always be unsteady

I battled each dragon that guarded your door
You challenged my every thought, yet
there were days of bliss amongst the madness, when
We worshiped the same dark gods
    Played our own special games

After music and magic and costume
You brought me closer to ecstasy
with no touch but the lash of a whip.

    I saw my own desire
shining in the light of that face
    cut like a diamond
For Paris it was Helen, for me it is you
what else is there now but to wander the planet
half asleep the rest of my life.

The answer to that question has riven many poems over the years. There's a great quote I will share with you...

"Every artist undresses his subject, whether human or still life. It is his business to find essences in surfaces, and what more attractive and challenging surface than the skin around a soul?"

Tell me which surfaces appeal to you the most in a man? I notice a woman's smile most, then her eyes, then her general manner, how she moves, her gestures and facial expressions. That's what attracts me initially. What is it about these guys that hooks you?
