Looking for a book about BEING a chef

And not a textbook, mind you. What I have in mind is a non-fiction book written -- preferably -- by a chef about being one. Now, I do plan to pick up a used copy of Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential soon. But I'm not going for gritty, seedy, or anything like that. I just weren't sure if there were many others out there that would be good fodder for the research part of my writer brain.

Okay, I THINK that I have found one. But, by all means, feel free to recommend if you have a suggestion.

Jennifer, do a search for any well-known chef in your favorite book provider's online store. B&N, Amazon, etc. You'll find many choices that way.

Thanks for the tip, Lea. Just to make sure I do some thorough researching, I will probably get a book by more than one chef. To get some different perspectives.
