any good nonfiction books about surviving the violent death of a spouse
Don't mean to be so specific, but that is what the main protag. in my story is struggling with. Oh, and she is pregnant at the same time. And I'm not necessarily looking for a self-help book along those lines, but an actual recollection. Could be first- or third-person, though admittedly first-person might be more preferred. Any recommendations?

Well, the wife dies from cancer, but my favorite is A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken. First class writing, and very touching.

Thanks. I'll give it the old look-see.
