Ray Bradbury was one of the first famous living authors I ever met in person. I read Martian Chronicles when I was in my teens and promptly fell in love with his work. His world in Fahrenheit 451 is remarkably prescient: wall screen TVs, people looking for feel-good messages and social connections via media, even book-banning.
