I'll say it again, Anthony...you need an editor. Your writing is pretty darn awful.

Haha, sure. Next book, perhaps. When I write something serious. Not, this one, though. Anyway, thanks for the gentle reminder.

But by next time, Anthony, people will probably not want to read it. If your first is so bad (I don't know if it is, I am just going by this thread) then why would anyone buy your second? You will have a reputation.
You gotta be smart, people!!!

Debbi, what you said does make sense! Thanks for the input
I appreciate the suggestion, but there are different ways of looking at the book, really. If you're looking for something that is neat and grammatically correct, Pheng iu may not be the book you'd like to read. It just doesn't feel right and you may end up wondering, "what's going on here," or, "why was it written like this?"
But, hey, once you recover from the shock and begin to accept the simple fact that the book was intentionally written in such a manner, you'll be fine and able to enjoy the story. Just like here in Singapore, place where people speak Singlish rather than proper English, I still see people laugh at the jokes when they read the book.
Back in Indonesia, I used to do stories in such a style as well (and believe me when I say I write much better in Indonesian language than many Indonesians). The reaction was just the same. Some loved it and some just hated it. To tell you the truth, there was a time when I sat near a colleague student and he was laughing loudly. I asked him what he was laughing about. He showed me the book and told me the writer of the book was insanely hilarious, never knowing that I was actually the writer. It was a very encouraging experience, really.
Oh, now, if I may suggest, why don't you give the preview a try?

Anthony, it sounds like Singapore and Indonesia are the right markets for your book.

Just read it. Based on that preview page, I would never read on in a million years.
