Can someone tell me the best places to upload my ebook? I seem to remember Smashwords and Amazon. I thought I saw that and related info in another thread but can't find it now.

Smashwords will get it on the most distribution sites (including B&N, but not Amazon). Amazon is the biggest sales platform, followed by B&N and KOBO. Hit those three separately, and you've got most of your sales base covered.

    Gary and Cat,

Smashwords also distributes to Kobo. And while Smashwords will distribute to Barnes and Noble, you'll receive a larger royalty if you upload directly to B&N yourself versus what you would receive by allowing Smashwords to upload it for you.

Kobo is an ebook site specifically for their Kobo e-readers, similar to Apple's iBookstore, which Smashwords also distributes to.

My e-book publisher just last week said that KOBO sales are coming on strong.
