You Canít Make No Money Self-Publishing

That (attachment) is Kindle royalties for 12/2011 and the last two weeks of November. There is about $1,200 more in Kindle royalties from the UK and Germany. Then there are the paperbacks, and that amounts to another $2300. I am damn sure glad I did not waste ten years with agents and publishers. This time next year, after two more books are finished and released, I may be making $20,000 a month. What a nice addition to my retirement income.

Your agent says she cannot sell your ms? Self-publish. Or you can play here at WN and make nothing.

Is there no one in your real life you can brag to about this?

There are those of us here who are writing and e-publishing. And we can still manage to interact with others.

I might have some empathy for your failure and poverty, but your posts are obnoxious. And I see how you get along with others: by attacking every American who is not a Socialist Democrat anti-Constitutionalist. Yeah, the very small number who live at WN get along with others just fine--not. You even run off those who are part of your Democrat Clan. Why should I feel sorry for you? You caused your own failures.

My example (and a very modest one at that) is to show those who will find a closed door in New York that if they can write, they can make MORE money self-publishing than they ever will wasting time with agents and publishers who are there to use them anyway. I have talked to those earning $500,000 a year who roll their eyes when they speak of all the years they wasted on those leeches called agents. “It cost me millions,” one said.

I will have two or three more sequels published by this time next year and will probably be earning $20,000 or $30,000 a month. How much have you made insulting real Americans who do not agree with your Socialism here on WN? That seems to be the only reason you post here. How obnoxious.

Look it! It's Gena with no grace. Mad at the world because her welfare check is not enough to buy her a life. If only she could write and actually earn money. Hell, if only she could get past the age of four and stop posting puerile BS images that show her sexual frustration.

    Wow, James!!

I was going to leave this desperate thread alone, and I probably should now. Let me just say that 20K a month is par for the course in my line of work, which means that money isn't the reason I'm writing. I actually want, like most of the people here, to improve my writing. This site has certainly done that, thanks entirely to some of the people you enjoy blasting for no apparent reason.

And if you view agents and publishers as "leeches" you obviously have no clue about how to build a strong, successful business. I'm not talking about a measly few thousand a month, I'm talking about an empire. Anyone interested in that should know that they can't do it on their own. You always have to pay people - and that's how it's always been done in any business. But I guess you're not looking for an empire, you're content as you are. Let's see if that 20-30K eventuates. Given your lack of coherent arguments here, I'm guessing not, because coherence seems to be a pretty important thing for a writer to have.

James. I'm very happy for your success and I'm glad you posted the information, but the post does sound like bragging. And if you have to be a democrat or a socialist to be in here, am I ever in the wrong room lol.
