    Post Punctuation

The narrator and Nick spent had a great time with her brother and his wife.

Despite the wonderful evening we’d had with Dolly and Alec the month before, I was surprised that Nick was now a bit standoffish. When Alec asked, “Hey, that was a great time we had a few weeks ago, we have to do it again soon,” Nick ignored the question.”

BW, Alec isn't asking a question, he's making a statement.

Are you asking a question here?

Drop the quotation mark following the word question. You didn't ask, but since Alec's not really posing a question, I'd change the last sentence to, When Alec said, "blah blah," Nick ignored him.

    (for starters)

    ETA: Oops squared.

You also need to get rid of the quotation marks at the very end.

I'm still wondering about the "spent had" in your first sentence.

    Punctuation, GMT

Thanks all. The quotes at end were a typo but the other items truly needed improvement. Your suggestions were right on.

Also, there is supposed to be a GMT setting but I can't find it. I would like to see posts in local (NYC) time. Have any of you been able to find this setting?

    Thanks again.
