No doubt. Bunch of college freshman like me. But beyond doubt, I was the best of the worst, lol.

Or more accurately, I was chosen as best of the worst.

Okay, how 'bout I be more explicit as to just what I consider "a bunch of bull." Obviously I should have been so earlier, so as not to confuse minds such as yours.

The underlined portions are, to me, a buncha bull, not the "family and friends together. " Hey, we luuuuuv our family and friends, right? Mingling with massive amounts of them at one time can be such fun!

Alrighty. Unfortunately, Bets put family and friends right in the middle of what you consider a buncha bull. So parties, where the families and friends get together, you think is a buncha bull. And shopping for presents for your family and friends to show them your love and appreciation, you think is a buncha bull. And filling your calendar with dates to get together with your family and friends, you think is a buncha bull. But the actual people, the actual family and friends, you love, just so long as you don't attend any parties with them, buy them any presents, or spend too much time with them during Christmas. Gotcha.

As I said, I love parties, shopping for presents, and filling my calendar with family and friends. You think it's a buncha bull. And again, to each his own.

So how come you never answered my question regarding "Bets?" Here's what you said to her: "So you think Christmas sucks and posting a poem with that message is "fun".

I asked you to point out where she did indeed say Christmas sucked (this infantile conversation is a hoot, isn't it folks? ). Why did you ignore me on that-there thing?

I'll bet you're the life of all those wild and exciting parties you're invited to, ain'tcha John-O? As for me, my social life is evenly paced throughout the year. I don't need to do the three parties in one day just to assure myself I'm loved and adored by many. Been there... Four or five friends (or family) at one time is fine; it's less exhausting.

Yup, to each his own. And answer my question, okay, Party Boy?

    Hi Cindy,

As it's the Christmas Season 'n all, I'm charitably allowing John-O to think he's a superior human being. It's a nice thing to do this time of year, doncha know..

True, it would be better to "pay it forward" at K-Mart or someplace than waste my time with Party Boy, but.... Dear John-O!

Perhaps you can think of a better paraphrase of "It's such a bunch of bull". Christmas is useless? Christmas is waste of time? Christmas is a necessary evil I wish I didn't have to bother with? I don't know. I was going for brevity.

I didn't really ignore you. I guess I'm just kind of embarrassed about your blindness to obvious things. You say you agree that it's a bunch of bull. I state that you agreed that it's a bunch of bull. You say you never said that. I mean, how can you not see that contradiction? Even your brand new "clarification"; you don't see a huge contradiction there? I just feel kind of embarrassed reminding you of the obvious, I guess.

Actually, no...I'm more of a reserved person, not a "life of the party". I talk with one or two closer friends and enjoy the food and mostly listen to all the conversations. My liking parties does not mean that I attend three a day. It just means that when I attend them, I like them. Unlike you, I've never attended "three parties in one day just to assure myself I'm loved and adored by many". Frankly, it would never occur to me to attend a party for that reason, let alone three of them in one day. But that was you at one time, I guess. Good to know you've matured out of that. It sounds unpleasant and, as you say, exhausting.

    Bets,

    It's hardly a battle.

Indeed, Bible John, you are a superior person. *genuflects*
