    AWOL - The Top 10

    Well, I came back to take a look but haven't been finding many new posts on this site. Did everyone go AWOL?

    Anyway, does anyone know if Maria Carvainis is still very active in the literary world these days, or if she's accepting new clients? I met her a few years ago and she seemed excellent.

    Prologues are still a hot topic. I like them, but I'm not convinced that most agents do. Their initial reaction is that it's an escape hatch for a bad beginning to a book. I don't personally believe that's always the case... just think it might be viewed as such when an agent initial receives it.
