The following are code of conduct guidelines for Writers.net:

1) Always be Courteous

- This site is a shared space and all members should enjoy a conflict free environment. Before submitting your post, please consider the tone of your entry.

2) Always be Constructive

- Honesty is a cornerstone of productive feedback and any advice, whether positive or negative, should be given with the intent of building up members and not knocking them down. Critique the work and not the member.

3) Always be Civil

- When in a disagreement, maintain civility and avoid extended confrontations. Infighting, whether via the forums or the messaging system will not be tolerated. If you are being provoked or harassed, use the report function instead of responding in kind. Also, if you are particularly upset with the manner in which the forums are being administered, don't create posts about it. Send a PM and we'll address it off line. Additionally and for the avoidance of doubt, do not rip the board, the mods or the engineers supporting the boards.

4) Remain on topic

Each forum has a description which summarizes the type of content expected and suitable care will be taken to keep the discussions on track. Off-topic posts may be deleted without notice. Spamming the forums and blatant self-promotion posts will be deleted and may result in a ban from the forum.

5) Response to rules violations

Posts made in violation of the above Code of Conduct and the Terms of Use below may be edited or deleted without additional or advanced notice. Repeat offenses may result in being banned from the forums.
