How to Transfer files between iPad and computer?
-
I was told (by the guy at Best Buy) that you have to mail them to yourself from your iPad. That's why I didn't get one.

You can create files on your iPad withthe "pages" app and then email that as a word document. I usually write in the notes section and then email those to cut and paste into larger documents. The only way to get any writing off your iPad is to email it though. I have not found that to be a problem. It really is the best way to create files on the go.

I don't understand why you would think that a problem. I think it is an incredibly easy process with no fuss.

I don't find it easy at all. Apparently you have to upload and download everything through iTunes or something. I've done it a few times with difficulty and forgot the process shortly afterwards. Which relegates my iPad to what it really is: just a toy to read email and surf the web on.
