I couldn't have said it better!
It is an interesting article, Kitty. I haven't been around the sun too many times, but I don't like this new trend either. When I receive emails from people who don't capitalize it irks me. If they have the little siggy with read "sent from my cell" I do give them some leeway, but most phones have auto-correct that does the capitalizing for you! Texts are a different story.
As the blogger said, if you can't switch over from one to the other (meaning formal to casual), then we have a problem.

It doesn't bother me in the least if a friend or relative sends me an e-mail with no caps, lousy punctuation, etc. I'm pretty careless with my casual, friend-to-friend e-mails myself.
My professional e-mails, of course, are flawless.![]()
Yeah, the lousy punctuation and such doesn't bother me either, and even missing a capital here or there is nothing. I guess there were only two people that sent me emails in all lower-case, perhaps it's just the people who did it that bugs me. One was a teacher, and the other, just someone really annoying... lol

Conversations inspire me the most. I like to eaves drop when I'm walking through the halls or through the cafeteria at work. People say the darndest things!
You people are great! Thank you!
