You should research agents that represent children's books. I google everything! Agentquery dot com allows you to search for agents by what they represent. Welcome to WN!

Who said you had to? Where'd you come up with this misinformation?

Don't give anyone any money. Research the publishing industry until you understand your options.

Check out the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and consider joining your local chapter. You'll get a LOT of great information from them.

Dorance publishing, have you heard of them?
I never realized just how many things went into making a book. The writting is the easy part.I sometimes have to jump out of the bath just to write an idea down seems thats a good thinking spot.

Dorrance is a very expensive vanity publisher. If you decide to go the self-pub/vanity route, there are many less expensive options.

Thanks, Frank at this point I'm not sure what to do.I have spoken with Xlibris as well they seem to have better rates.I've also been slapped with questions about oils, water colors and pastels.I hadn't really given that any thought. So many decisions.

You haven't investigated all your possibilities. Slow down.
