    Writing Sites

There seems to be more of them popping up all the time. Can anyone add to the list?

I don't have time for more than one, so I don't have a clue what they are.

What kind of sites are you looking for? Critique sites? Market lists? Information about agents? Blogs?

I have a long list of resources. Ask and ye shall receive...

Why were the links removed? And if it's not okay to post links, can one post just the names of the sites? Then a Google search will bring up the addies anyway. Shakes head here. Oh my!

    Here they are:

    My writers circle
    Writing forums.com
    Writing forums.org
    Writers beat
    Fiction post
    Online-literature
    critical poet
    Absolute Write
    Writers Write

Lacey - we've had problems in the past with viruses in links, etc. so I remove links posted by new users as a general rule. Feel free to post the names of other sites, of course.

Lacey, I started out over at NaNoWriMo and it was a great place to get my feet wet. Met three amazing ladies that I exchanged novels with (2 in CA and one in NH). It was really fun. But I started wanting something a little more "hard core" where people would tell you the truth and not be so nice. LOL I tried absolute write but found it overwhelming, so many posts and it confused me, so I came here. I've learned so much in the five months I've been on here, and even had my feelings hurt. LOL But I'm here to stay.

Okay, I'll start with marketing sites. These are all good sources for markets for short fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction/essays:

    Duotrope's Digest

    New Pages

    Writing to Heal

    Ralan's Webstavanganza

    Creative Writers Opportunities List

    Funds for Writers

    Poets & Writers

and for a bit of self-promotion, I will include my blog where I list calls for submission, contest announcements, grants and awards, etc.:

    Jeanne's Writing Desk

And one more market resource, but be aware that some of these links may have expired:

    Literary Markets

I'll be back in a few minutes with some more resources...
