I'm trying to track down a software tool that creates endnotes for non-fiction referenced to selected phrases in the text rather than inserting little numbers after the words concerned. I've seen a number of books with endnotes in this format so I'm sure such a tool exists.

The endnotes appear as "page 312, 'Winston Churchill decreed that....', Colville Diaries etc." The page number is generaed automatically.

Can anyone help please?
