A Shattered Soul Remains

Searching for answers that can't be found
My breath catches in my throat
This feeling drags me deeper
Into the abyss I go.
I let it take me.
To weak to fight
Into the darkness
Into the pain
Look what you've done to me?
A shattered soul remains
You inch forward
I inch backward
No more will this soul be yours
Locked up tight is where it will stay
So I dust off a treasure chest
And store away the broken pieces of my soul.
A silent oath whispers within the shadows.
“No more, no more”
So it shall be and so it was.

Ok, this would stand on any poetry site, but if you are searching for answers that can't be found... well, yano' And thats just the first line. I know you are a good person, and pretty god-damn clever I should say.

I can feel it. I have lived it...some pieces are still in that treasure chest.
