    Loves Road

    I'm having fun with this.

    Down by the river
    Where the trail bends
    Is Loves Road.
To get to Loves Road it is surely tiring.
There are many twists and turns,
    Steep and rocky hills.
It is never a straight shot to Loves Road.
Do not be put off by its tough path.
    Though the distance is long
And unbearable heartache will overtake all who pass,
Loves Road is worth the turmoil and wait.
    Once your destination is complete
Past the brambles and the winding bends,
Past the wilting lilies and the flooding streams,
You will stumble upon one of life’s truest treasures.
So, mount up your courage and put on your walking shoes
And venture out for the journey to Loves Road.
“Put it before them briefly so they will read it, clearly so they will appreciate it, picturesquely so they will remember it and, above all, accurately so they will be guided by its light.”

Margareta, no offence, but this is puppa to me. It started mighty good, but quickly lost the innings.

I do reserve the right to remain silent from now on when people post love poems.

    but welcme, or even, welcome

I forgot to add: I like how you talk (puppa) are you irish or something? I only ask because of the language in your poems. I was just wondering...

No offense was taken by the way

Hey, girl. No, not Irish, Margarita. British, though there are Irish influences.

Hey, your poem Margaret, err... you have mentioned or insinuated some sort of highway in nearly every line.

I had a look at your dark sexy stuff again, but this time really examined. I could see what Sabina was saying, trick o the light maybe? I should say there is a lot more to you, and I'm surprised I didn't click on straight away. 'Its electricery,' Catweasle.

Here's to Sabina, the one who isn't talking to me.

I'd say you'd get us in the re-writes... Stay human, and don't try and understand who you might be, it drives you insane. Splendid... Tallyho!!! Chocks away Ginger. Don't take me down the tube station, ma ma.
