There are only 2 categories and the 'finalists' are judged by the general public.
My question, lets say you have got a MS which is one of those categories & do get into the top 50 - what then?
Is your MS open to the public to read?
Is it considered 'published'?
Have you just blown 2-3 years work as it is no longer a 'new' MS not read by the general public?
I'm not trying to be difficult; I'd actually like to know the answers.

Author, do you have a link for the rules and regs of the contest?

Try this, Lea
@Sat,
No. Professional writers read your manuscript, should it make it to the finals. It's really a golden oppurtunity. The general public only gets to vote on the the titles, based on the premise. They may be allowed to view the excerpt, but no, I don't think they get to read the entire manuscript. I believe it's not considered published as long as you have the rights to it.
Thanks, Leslee.
Well, the first cut just went through. Anyone give it a go? Did you make it?
I hear crickets in the dark, dark forest.

Nope, false alarm. Still crickets.
