    The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield focuses on energy fields felt and seen by the enlightened ones. The book and the associated web sites may provide a vocabulary to start with. The exploration of these fields is in-depth.

    You could go new-age and call it the Flow. Ripples in the Flow. In physics we talk about fields, and flux. The flux sounds pretty good. You could go old english and call it the warp or weft - weaving analogies.
