    I'm stunned!

Just looking all all the new postings, I'm really stunned by the stupidity and nonsense that's written down. What has all of this to do with writing and helping each other?

I get the feeling Writers Net is just a bunch of kids acting out their differences against each other, and making others as "black" (sorry, don't mean this literally - I have a lot of respect for all people) as possible.

Please stop this... it would make Writers Net a better world.

Writers.net is all about growth through sharing of mutual opinion.

Part of that process is appraising the worth of the posters opinion.

Robert holds himself out to be someone whose opinion should be highly valued.

Read his work and decide for yourself.

The high road is paved with the work of those who demand integrity.

just relax and let the principles fight it out... there's plenty of other good conversations with respectable content on the other threads and with a lot more content worth reading...

this sort of thing always happens in waves on ALL boards, I find - it's some sort of lunar thang, I figure...

    That's right Sheryl --

    Plenty of other threads.

How do you know how to judge the value of that advice.

My guess is you haven't taken the time to go to Robert's site.

My guess is you haven't read his sample story.

My guess is you haven't read about his world wide contest.

My guess is --- your high ground is really an ivory tower.

    Re: I'm stunned!

no, because I really, really don't care.

see, one thread to discuss his failings (if they are as you say) is enough. Five or six of them are just boring as all get-out.

I'd much rather read threads that aren't "He said! And I said! And he said!". Maybe it's just me, but seeing the same thing said five times in six threads is a bit much. And since most of them are personal attacks, there isn't really much content there worth spending the monitor time to view.

better things to do with my time - like, say...write!

I think I'd be happier with no threads attacking me and more on writing.

    Re: I'm stunned!

    Of course you would Robert.

You want to attract naive people to your world wide contest.

I couldn't care less about your contest or how you want to refer to yourself.

EXCEPT -- some people on this site are actually believing your nonsense. They're taking your advice at face value.

If people like those that have posted on this thread chastizing me can't see how your kind dilute the value of this site, I pity them.

They're just the gullible fools needed to make you $$millions.

    Re: I'm stunned!

Jim, I have seen his site and I have done my research. I was raised in a business environment and I've been around writer's long enough to know how debasing they can get. I agree with the others. It's okay to be honest but there is limit to the amount of agression that goes with that. I don't believe attacking someone instead of helping is benefical to anyone. Whether his writing is good or bad, is irrelevant. He asked for honest opinions, not personal attacks.
