Spare me, Tony. Ignorance is not excuse for shouting.

    Not even on MY show.

You wouldn't expect to be taken seriously in music if you went around saying "by the key of C, I mean a key where I'm comfortable singing." You wouldn't try making graphic art if you couldn't tell a pen from a brush. Yet you think you're entitled to define grammatical and linguistic terms your own way.

    Good luck with that.

I wasn't shouting, Jerroo. I was calling you a buffoon (or was it "babboon"?) in quite level tones.

Go ahead -- count the exclamation points.

When I -- that'd be IiIIiIIiiiIIIIiiIIiIIii -- call a passage "passive," I really don't give ratcrap what any pedants learned in Elementary Grammar.

I'd call that emphatic, in the least.

Let me know when your insistence on defining terms your own way pays off, pal.
