    A reading/research recommendation

Barbara Goldsmith wrote a fascinating book called OTHER POWERS a few years ago. It is defined as a biography of Victoria Woodhull, but is a social history of the times from the late 1800s into the early 1900s. It covers topics as diverse at sellers of "snake oil", the rise of popular spiritual mediums, women's suffrage, and Woodhull's run for the presidency.

I re-read it about every 15 or 16 months, and always come away with new ideas.

    Thanks.

BTW in doing the women's diary search yesterday - I came across something I can use in one of WIPs too.
