    a diversion for you

I'm thinking of getting new vanity plates, ones with a "writing theme." Here are a few I'm tossing around (instead of working, which is what I should be doing at the moment). Any thoughts? Other ideas?

    LUV2WRT (my son's favorite)
    WRITEON (too 60ish?)
THE END (This one is getting mixed review, either people love it or hate it)

My favorite - REVISE - is taken in my state. (So are AUTHOR, WRDSMTH and WRITER, not that I was overly fond of any of these)

    Rules: seven characters (including spaces)

    Thanks!

    I'll stick with mine:

Before I retired from the government, my tag was:

    YPSAMAI

    Now it is:

    YPSASAW

My wife has 2MEEZERS (we have two rescued Siamese cats; the rescue center calls them meezers.)

I do, however, have IEDIT on the spare car.

    Re: a diversion for you

My wife's four kids gave her a vanity plate celebrating her PhD, which she got while raising the four as a single mom, holding down a fulltime job as a reading specialist for the County Board of Education and operating a video production company that made educational videos. I think she earned it:

    RPHDMOM

Not the easiest to decipher. You have to know the story.

I could never come up with anything I wouldn't eventually learn to hate.

    How about "VANITY"?

This captures the essence of why anybody starts to write in the first place, and is amusingly self-referential in regards to the whole idea of a vanity plate, in an arch pomo sort of way.

Carl: What's with the new get-up for the bar, Moe?

    Moe: It's pomo.

[Blank stares from Carl, Lennie, Homer]

    Moe: Postmodern.

    [more blank stares]

Moe: Weird for the sake of weird.

    Carl, Lennie, Homer: Ohhhhh . . .
