I know the author, can't think of her name but she wrote "The Bean Trees" and lives in the Southwest United States (like myself). Her name will come to me in a minute...Ah HECK. Anyway, The Poinsonwood Bible is on EVERYONE's must read list including Oprah and Stephen King. I tried to read it, but gave up way too soon it seems. BARBARA KINGSLOVER!! Ha! I knew it would come to me! I am trying to find a good read but am having a time of it...Like I said, I started on Anita Shreve's newest, picked up "The Devil Wears Prada" which started this thread, gave up on "The Lovely Bones" when I only had twenty pages left... but am currently not enthralled in anything particular at the moment, accept maybe the Pokeman War my children are having. :O< (my pathetic sad face). But ALAS, don't feel sorry for me for there is a library right down the street that I shall visit before long....I'm getting sick of my sniveling...C'mon Anteann, there must be a book you can reccommend...
