Short Story Publication Questions

I have several short stories in the horror genre which I would like to get published. Any ideas on which magazines or publications that accept unsolicited material would be my best options? Also, since this is my initial attempt at this, any additional information or tips would be most appreciated.

Dig deep into your pockets and shell out $30 or so for the latest edition of Writer's Market. Not only will you find lots of markets for stories (and guidelines for submitting) but the front of the book provides a good overview for beginners on the whole submission process.

Try this site. It's a goldmine for markets, and you can do a search for magazines that accept horror.

And always be sure to read the guidelines before you submit. You will want to follow them exactly.
