Hard to come by people who want philosophy, but there are lots of religious presses out there. Take a look through the Writer's Market. I think the 2007 version should be out by now. Good luck to your friend!

That's a pretty good answer from you, guys, but I have to tell you that I am a broke, a student, and I better buy my school books and pay my fees than a Writer's 2007 Market. Thank you.

they should have an edition at the library, though it might not be the newest.
A quick (and cheap) way to find out would be to go to your public library or one of the larger bookstores and look at the books on the shelf in either the "philosphy" or "inspirational" sections (not all inspirational books are of the Christian variety.) Take a pen and pad. Write down the names of the publishers, then look at the copyright page inside for their address and/or website address. Then Google the name with "submission guidelines" and see if they're online.
My new publishing company deals with philosophy... (but it IS new & small.... if you want a 'big name' publisher, I suggest you check the PUBLISHER lists at all the writing websites you belong to....)
I'd also recommend Sally Stuart's Christian Writer's Market Guide.
Of course, you could also browse Amazon to see who's publishing this type of book.
