I wonder about publishers.

Hi folks,
I recently submitted my third prison-writing book to my publisher. He (the boss) thought it was great and enjoyed it immensely. However, he rejected it because it is too competitive with my previous work. My dream was to have a trilogy published but now I must peddle my work elsewhere.
I don't have an agent, so I wondered whether I should post a blurb in the agents section to test the water. I don't know if that is permitted here.
Regards, chancer.

It's "permitted," but probably not going to be very efficacious, except that Robert Brown is a very kind and helpful agent who tends to troll the waters here (I mean that in the sense of boating, not in the sense of being a troll!!). The best thing to do is go to the Literary Agents section and ask for advice about how to find an agent: you will be bombarded with websites and books to check.
