Genre - I don't fit in anywhere

Hello all, Greetings,

I'm new here and I'd like to use up one of the three dumb questions that we get at the beginning (or was it wishes? I don't remember) Here it goes:

I wish I knew where to put this Novel that I just finished. The best way do describe it would be: it is sort of like the series "Lost". Is that "mystery fiction" or "crime fiction" or just plain "adventure" It's not "romance" or "psychological thriller", or is it?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Supernatural thriller, perhaps. Hard to say without knowing more about it.

I understand what you mean, and to be honest, not fitting in a specific genre is probably very good for you. It will make an interesting read I'm sure. Do you think you could put it down to 3 genres? My book is fantasy/philosophical/mystery. If you can get yours down to 3 genres then that is good thing. More than three might be an overload.
