Is Anybody Else Doing This? |

I wrote a novella last year which I then serialized, and I have been blogging an issue at a time, twice a week. I'm getting about 5-10 hits a day, which I'm happy with for now, but I'm hoping the number will grow. Just curious if anyone else has tried this to get exposure and garner an audience, and how it worked?
Feel free to check it out at the address below, by the way.

Hi Mat,
Good job on your blog.
I have two ways to give advice that would help you. Both I offer totally free as a member of this forum.
The first is that to increase your number of hits on your blog site you need to use www.socialmarker.com to post your site to as many social bookmarking sites as possible. That address will allow you to post a link to your site to up to 47 sites.
It's totally free - other than the time you put in to do the posting.
The other thing that I can offer is to tell you that I found a great way to increase both my frequency of writing, get critiqued, get published immediately, and earn some extra money at the same time.
The best thing is that it is also 100% completely free with no strings what so ever attached. This has helped me so much I am looking for like souls to share this information with.
If you want more details and want to answer me via this forum that is fine or you can contact me directly at londonering@aol.com
I hope you are interested but if not - it's not a problem and pardon my message if you consider it an intrusion.
Sincerely,
JavaMan - Edward Stevens

"Edward Stevens".
Who was it that said, "Never trust anyone with two first names"?
totally free

100% completely free
no strings attached
Sounds like an ad! But no, it's out of the goodness of his heart:
"This has helped me so much I am looking for like souls to share this information with."

Edward (JavaMan) Stevens,
Thanks for the tip about socialmarker.com. It's a bit time consuming to look over and join all those sites, but I wouldn't otherwise have had any idea there were so many bookmarking and social networking sites out there.
As to your offer, I wonder if you might be referring to either helium.com or associatedcontent.com. I am already a member on both sites. If not, please share. If I get really curious I will use the e-mail address you provided.
By the way, M. Deschanel, I would encourage you to give these sites a try. (If you're already familiar with them, please ignore everything I write next!) As I said, socialmarker.com is time consuming, but you can pick and choose what bookmarking sites you want to check out or join. Helium.com is cool because they have a forum where magazines post freelance writing jobs. You do compete with other writers for the assignment, and the chances of finding something there about which you are qualified to write are slim, but it's a chance for making money anyway. Associatedcontent.com accepts just about any work and pays you based on page views, so if you're willing to promote yourself you could make a few bucks.
Oh, and speaking of promoting oneself . . . to anyone who is following this thread, please check out my free online serial comedy Striking Out at strikingout-story.blogspot.com!
