where to find agent addresses

Author: Rebecca Cole

I have used up pretty much all the addresses I have for agents and though I am still waiting for some replies I feel it is time to maybe send another list of queries out. Does anyone know where I can find the e-mails and addresses for agents that work with horror (vampire) and historical romance fiction?

You can try google. Also, try looking in the books that are simuliar to yours, sometimes the author has his/her agent listed in the front.

A good on-line source for agent stuff--and query writing, too--is http://www.agentquery.com . Also, you can verify an agent's bona fides at http://www.sfwa.org/BEWARE/agents.html and http://anotherealm.com/prededitors/ . Refer to each agent's website for submission instructions; they vary.

Good luck.

The source the industry itself uses for current U.S. agency/agent addresses is the Literary Marketplace. You can find this in the reference area of most U.S. public libraries.
