Hi, Toya.
First, you probably need to know that other than one or two agents and editors who hang out here, this isn't the place to seek an agent or a publisher. It's the place to LEARN how to write a query letter to hook one, or to ask questions about one that you've already found.
But if you're going to start the process, then you need to decide what genre you've got. A "vampire novel" could sit on four different shelves in the bookstore, and unless you know which one it will best fit, you're going to struggle to find an agent.
Is it horror? (like "I Am Legend")
Is it paranormal romance? (like "Dark Possession")
Is it urban fantasy? (like "Blood Noir")
Some agents specialize, so you've got to know what you've got.
