Sparrowgrass poetry forum that was hosted through http://www.tinplace.com has gone out of buisness.
Tinplace states Sparrowgrass Poetry is no longer our client. We have no knowledge of their practices as we were only hosting their site. To contact them, please contact Prospect Press (the company that paid Sparrowgrasses webhosting fees).
SPARROWGRASS POETRY FORUM, INC. Department 40, 609 Main St., Sisterville, WV 26175 (as slick and glossy as NLP, and they send you a small parchment acceptance award with your form letter)

One of Todays-Woman members state
To add to my disappointment was the fact that I have to buy the anthologies where my poems will be featured for me to see it published.
I'm not sure if the group is a scam or not but it can only leave a person disappointed.
I feel if you have to purchase the anthology and they are making money and you are not getting a dime, then I would be leary.
They should provide you for free a copy of their book your poem will be in or provide cold hard cash.
I hope that helps.

Thanks Rose, I agree. If you have to buy the book your poem is in, and you haven't been paid for it, then it's vanity publishing. And the books, as I understand it, are not available in book stores.

Ah, but Raven, can't you see?
There must forever be poetry
And even though it might be mush
Some of us just have to gush.
We're filled with rhyming words you see
Like Dr. Suess, we can't break free
So please bear with us in our lust
we write them down so we won't bust.
